📝BTA: Our Chop Strategy Pays Off by Taking the Play Off

One of the last dragons we had to slay was identifying chop, and after consulting mentors, experimenting, and some backtesting came to this conclusion:

Plays taken at the weekly support or resistance are much less likely to give quick directionality than those taken at monthly or gap levels—so for this method we would stop playing weekly bounces/rejections/trendbreaks.

You can see here in the white box that the range on ES off the weekly hasn’t been great—a second day of chop was avoided with patience and discernment
