NOTE: SPY Magic filter gives alerts automatically all session long for YEET Plus in The Garden—just 99 bucks a year right now. Also four other filters alert automatically.

The Matryoshka framework is basically a way to think about how trends stack inside each other. The big outer layer is still the primary trend—and right now that’s bearish. Inside that, you’ve got smaller moves like bull flags or quick rips. Those can look like reversals, but really they’re just part of the bigger structure playing out. They create the movement and liquidity the overall trend needs to finish its cycle.

What we saw today felt like price just bouncing between whale positioning. As SPY pushed up from that 645 area toward 677, it wasn’t like bears stepped aside. Instead, they just kept moving their targets higher—from 674 up to 677. You can see that in the repeated ASK-side fills. Basically, as price ripped, put demand just followed it up. That’s usually a sign the move is being used for positioning, not a real shift in sentiment.

☄️ Ballistic Momentum Shift
The Ballistic filter makes this even clearer.

Going into the move, it was sitting at a +75% skew—pretty extreme, actually a record for that reading. That kind of energy is what drove the spike.

But right after? It’s been consistently nearly only red for two straight days.

So what that tells me is the same energy that pushed price up has now flipped into heavy sell-side pressure.
