⚫ You know I love my comic-stock mashups. Before we bring back HALO for another limited edition run (that’s right…we’re bringing back HALO). 📈SPY BEYOND: The Battle at the Pressure Point 📈
Alright, let’s break down the chaos on the SPY hourly. We’ve been tracking this long-established hourly downtrend for a minute now, and the chart is currently screaming at a major inflection point.
1. The Trendline Struggle
We had a “rinky-dink” uptrend trying to form, but right now, SPY is testing the underside of that primary descending trendline. It’s looking like a rejection on the hourly timeframe. If we can’t reclaim that line, the bears are going to keep pressing the advantage.
2. Gap Defense & The “Blue” Zone
The levels of importance here aren’t just random lines—they are structural:
Gap Entry (Blue): This is the line in the sand.
Gap Close (Yellow): This represents the target to the downside if the defense fails.
The Narrative: Bears are fighting tooth and nail to prevent a close of that downside gap. Any bounce we see right now is essentially just “noise” moving against that primary bearish gravitational pull.
3. The Point of Pressure
We’ve identified a specific Point of Pressure (where you see that heavy concentration of recent price action). This is the decider.
The Bull Case: We actually have an Inverse Head and Shoulders pattern forming. If this plays out, it’s the launchpad back into the 660s.
The Bear Case: The “Gap Check” is the looming danger. If the pressure point fails to hold, we are sliding straight down for that full gap fill.
Bottom Line
We are at a stalemate between a bullish reversal pattern (Inverse H&S) and a major structural gap fill to the downside. Watch the Pressure Point—whichever way it breaks determines if we’re heading for a recovery or a deep dive into the yellow support zone.
